The team was unable to submit the required bank guarantee of Rs100 crore to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by Friday, which legally enforced the termination of the team through an order on 14. However, on Friday night, a team official claimed that they have obtained a arbitrator and the tema will remain until October 17.
It is believed that the officials at the BCCI are not much happy about the extension of the deadline for the team to fulfill its obligation to the board.
